Dentures/Partials
Making dentures and removable partial dentures, is both an art and science. With 30 years of experience, Dr. Parker has been able to perfect this art and is able to create life-like dentures and partials that are functional and look great. Dr. Parker has partnered with a wonderful lab for 25 years and they often attend the same professional training meetings. There is a delicate process involved to create natural looking dentures that are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing and Dr. Parker enjoys the challenge.

Complete Denture
Complete dentures are a set of artificial teeth that are made of acrylic and molded to fit the gums. Complete dentures are used when all of the upper or lower teeth are missing. The biggest complaint with denture wearers is that the lower denture tends to be loose. Today many of our denture patients choose to have implants placed to help retain and support their dentures. For patients who are on a fixed budget, mini implants are a great technology that can help hold the lower denture in place for a smaller fee than conventional implants.
Immediate Dentures
When a patient needs to have all of the upper or lower teeth removed, we are able to provide a denture right away. This makes the process easier because the patient does not have to go without teeth at all. The immediate denture should be relined after a few months because the gums tend to shrink and the denture may become loose. After a few months of healing, most patient choose to have second set of dentures made and use the first set as backup.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures can be used when the patient has some teeth missing yet have enough sound teeth remaining. Today we try to move more toward implants because partials can put strain on the remaining teeth. But if the best option for the patient is a removable partial denture we are experts in the design process and we can make comfortable partial dentures that will lightly rest on your remaining teeth yet not put too much strain on the remaining teeth so they can last for many years. Dr. Parker is well educated in this area and is able to provide a stress free design that helps prevent gum disease and preserves the teeth as long as possible. Today we often use implants to help support a partial denture, which can improve the aesthetics, fit and comfort.
